Brat Bhríde Workshop
Join Rita O’Loughlin for a hands-on Brat Bhríde workshop in Portlaoise Library. Rooted in Irish tradition, the Brat Bhríde (St Brigid’s cloak) is a symbol of healing, protection and community care.

Participants are invited to bring along a preloved scarf to transform into their own Brat Bhríde through simple stitching and shared storytelling. No sewing experience is needed. This is a relaxed, inclusive workshop celebrating heritage, creativity and connection.
